I'm
Julie Chalpan, president and founder of Focus Unlimited
PR. I've been in the PR business for more than 22 years
and continue to have fun in this exciting, ever-changing
field! I've worked with clients in a variety of industries...and
enjoy learning about each industry. My areas of expertise
are in media relations, writing and special events,
although I enjoy every aspect of the business.
Over the years I have been fortunate to create many
wonderful relationships with other sole PR practitioners,
graphic designers, audio/visual specialists, and photographers,
so when you sign-up with Focus Unlimited, we are truly
able to meet all of your communications needs. Through
the years I've also built solid relationships with the
media, and that is the most rewarding part of what I
do.
Prior to forming my own company,
I had the opportunity to receive experience in corporate,
agency and non-profit public relations -- all sectors
of PR.I'm a graduate of The University
of Georgia and received a bachelor of arts degree from
the School of Journalism, with a major in public relations
and a minor in sociology. I'm a long-time member of
the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), PRSA
Georgia and the Independent Counselors Forum.

In
my spare time I like to volunteer. I'm a big believer
in giving back to the community. I’ve served,
and continue to serve, in many positions at my church.
Other fun and fulfilling volunteer activities have included
working with organizations such as the American Heart
Association, American Cancer Society (after having served
as a staff member), Crohn’s Colitis Foundation
of Georgia, Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity, and the Gwinnett
Humane Society.
I think it's important for you to know a little bit
about a person before you work with them. Hope this
gives you a better idea of who I am, and I look forward
